Hi, I’m Kai, the creator of Tailys! I originally trained as a teacher but found my creative path in fashion design. For nearly 20 years, I’ve crafted custom wedding gowns, yet my true passion is empowering children. As a single parent to a 20-year-old son and a 9-year-old daughter, I’ve seen how clothing can boost confidence. My daughter, a sensitive and imaginative child, struggled with anxiety—until Tailys changed her life. Now, I want to share that magic with others.

We donated nearly 100 pairs of Tailys leggings for real-world tests in comfort, durability, and fun. Our biggest challenge? Creating a tail strong enough to withstand powerful tugs. Thanks to our dedicated testers, we reinforced stitching with a modified industrial sewing machine—making Tailys tails as tough as they are playful.
The results were inspiring! Kids wearing Tailys felt more confident, connected, and excited to engage with others—both kids and adults alike.
